Project Title: Browse species for goat
Description:
In southern rangeland in Madagascar, many species fodder are exploited by smallstock. But the pastoral areas are in degradation. In this optic, six browse species are introduced and installed. This proposal research wants to know: the adaptation of these species, their nutritive value and their biological characterization. This project aims to improve the goat productivity and rangeland.
Collaborator Involvement:
The collaboration aims to fund the travels period to the site areas and the reagents laboratory for the digestibility in vitro.

Investigate the species,distribution and harm of locoweed and the various ways to prevent and cure locoweed poisoning on the grassland of China. Endophytic fungi has some relationship with the synthesis of swainsonine,the toxin in locoweed.
